Katie Ellis

Katie was born and raised in Sammamish, Washington. She and her family moved to the Sacramento area in 2011 and found her love for aquatics at a young age through the Aquatic Center. Katie joined Capital Crew in eighth grade and competed through her senior year of high school. While completing her undergrad at Sacramento State, she began as a Youth Instructor for Wakeboard and Waterski camp in 2019, in addition to becoming a Dock Master and Basic Camp Youth Instructor, and found a love for customer service as a Customer Service Representative. During her senior year, she served as the Customer Service Specialist and Weekend lead for the Aquatic Center. 

Katie graduated with a B.S. in Business Administration with a double concentration in Marketing and Finance with Honors in the G.E. Honors Program from Sacramento State in Spring 2023.

Being an active member in multiple areas of Aquatic Center programs and known as a “Sport Utility Person”, she has transitioned to the role of Administrative Assistant to further her career and passion for the water and customer service. 

With a commitment to providing excellent customer service and administrative support to not only staff but anyone interested in learning about the Aquatic Center, you can always find a smile on Katie’s face.
